While i was working on my project , i got an idea . How about creating a walkthrough program of IIIT campus ?? .. it will be just like a OpenGl programs you made in Graphics course with left,right, near , far , top , bottom , rotation movements . It will be a great attraction at the campus , and if we can afford an online version then it would be awesome 
.Its gonna be easy for us because i am working on a similar project and i will be creating walk through of Charminar 
. And it will be just changing the model and we can use the the same model made by our seniors
Technical Details :-
Our seniors had used 3ds max and my program will support 3ds max . The walk through program will be made in Open Scene Graph and will be supported easily on OS >=FC4 .

sharat and i had a similar idea and we were discussing about the various possibilities and uses.
We were thinking about setting up something like a kiosk that would have a 3D view of the campus and people could find out when and where various events are going on by interacting with the kiosk. So it’ll be more than just a walkthrough and could reduce the burden on the people at the ‘Help Desk’.
@Maruti: ‘affordability’ is not a concern for creating the online version. one of my projects needs an online/web version of our campus in both 2D and 3D, so i can work on the web version of the walkthrough/kiosk. The web version of our campus would look similar to what was there in this year’s video, so the desktop version should look better and more realistic than the web version so i would suggest remodelling the campus using what the seniors did as the basis.
